Alexander Hartner Head of Productmanagement Vendor Finance, Raiffeisen-Leasing The ever increasing importance of project and process management in corporations such as Raiffeisen-Leasing Austria was the trigger for me to go for more in-depth training in these areas. As market leader, we are faced with the challenge of successfully implementing international financing projects with severe cost and time restraints. In addition, we also strive for ongoing optimisation of our key processes in the high-volume vehicle and equipment leasing business. Specialised education is absolutely necessary to master these challenges. This certainly made the case for me: With the support of my employer, I am attending an MBA programme in Project and Process Management and, with our company motto “there is always room for improvement” in mind, will apply the knowledge acquired in my typical work day.

Boudny Sabine Project leader, Siemens Gebäudemanagement & -Services GmbH I’m responsible for buildings and facility management (including planning, construction, site inspection) of international projects carried out primarily in Central and Eastern European Countries. The construction of a hospital in the heart of Bucharest was a new and difficult challenge for the whole project organisation. I found the Professional MBA "Project & Process Management" to be the perfect opportunity to prepare myself for such a difficult task. During the MBA I gained more and more experience in managing people in the context of projects, such as the members of the project organisation itself, key clients, key suppliers and finally my colleagues at Siemens/SGS. These aspects turned out to be the cornerstone for a solid project controlling and successful project close down.

DI Fischer Ursula Project manager, RBS Projekt Management GmbH - Consulting.
As a real estate consulting company we carry out most of our business as projects. Professional project management is therefore one of our key success factors. This MBA was the ideal add-on to my technical training as an architect. The project- and process management related modules provided me with an excellent methodological basis. We applied the methods in a very practise-oriented manner in different teams in real projects. The business fundamentals gave me an economic foundation both on the business- and macroeconomic level. I also appreciated the exchange of experience with students from many different industries and many different types of organisations (ranging from big corporations to one-man businesses) very much. By graduating from this MBA programme I definitely developed my job-related qualification towards a top management level position.

Robert Placek Product Line Manager Escalators, Schindler Fahrtreppen International GmbH
In a world full of copycats …. Be an original – be project-oriented!
For the day-to-day business of an organization, for the continuous, short-term tasks, it is important that organizations are process-oriented. For unique, medium-term tasks, involving several organizations across the world, process-orientation is definitely an overworked approach. Traditional project management is no longer state-of-the-art and therefore project-oriented forms of organization are required to take on these challenges. To learn more about project-oriented forms of organization, to learn more about what concepts like “Strategy: Management by Projects”, “Structure: Temporary and Permanent Organizations” and “Culture: New Management Paradigm” mean, I signed up for the MBA program offered by the Executive Academy. Enriched with the business fundamental modules, presented by excellent lecturers, it was an exciting education with student colleagues from other industries forming part of the MBA group. Working today in cross-functional Schindler teams (EU, Japan, Venezuela, …), I am confirmed in my initial decision to go for the professional MBA. I feel well prepared for all the upcoming challenges and I can only recommend it to everybody who wants to empower himself.

DI Hochreiter Werner Project Management/Engineering for Automation/Electrical Engineering, Andritz AG The MBA allowed me to take on responsibilities beyond my work as an engineer. The courses in project and process management as well as topics with a strong economic focus - such as strategy, administration, macroeconomics, etc. – provided me with an excellent basis for a management position in every project oriented company. I also found the trainings in soft- and leadership skills very useful for my current job in international projects.
