Engagement - Visuals

Have you reached the 150 follower milestone? It’s time to start engaging with your audience. Here’s part one of our tips –  this time the focus is on making your content more attractive to your readers.

Humans are visual creatures, so don’t be afraid to use images in your posts. Not only will more people be drawn to your content, but, according to LinkedIn, using pictures also results in a 2x higher comment rate. 3-4 images per post is usually enough, but remember to adjust that number according to the length of the post.

If you’d like to get even more engagement, incorporate videos into your posts. The LinkedIn algorithm favors video content, and could up your engagement five-fold. Keep the videos short and authentic. If you’re feeling brave, you can use the Live Video feature, which could grant you as much as 24x the engagement – although you will have to apply to become a LinkedIn Live Broadcaster. Remember to optimize for mobile, since that’s where a big chunk of your audience is!
